There is a lot of unfairness in our world. Everywhere you look you are sure to see things that are wrong, disgusting, and sinful. If we aren’t careful we can start to question Gods Goodness. Bad stuff seems so overwhelming and awful and it’s hard to see how it could ever be right. Are you dealing with feelings like that in your own heart? do you feel like your surrounded be evil? Maybe your struggling with a really hard family situation, or dealing with depression, maybe your friends have rejected you or a parent has abandoned you. Whatever you might be dealing with (or have gone through in the past), that makes you question God, Jeremiah has some important truths for you remember. After sharing some of the horrible experiences he had gone through, Jeremiah says: " I have to think of hope when I think of this: The Lords love never ends; his mercies never stop; they are new every morning. Lord you loyalty is great." ~ Jeremiah 3:21-23 He knew that God would NEVER abandon him, no matter how horrible the world became. Do you ever have that kind of hope in God? Can you say "the lord is mine, so I hope in him." (Jeremiah 3:24), like Jeremiah? Put your hope completely in Gods love and mercy. Everyday, regardless of how huge the difficulties you face might be, you can know that Gods goodness is much greater. |
